Sensitive Data Redactor

Prepare a log excerpt or JSON sample for a bug report. Mask selected JSON fields and supported text patterns, then review the result before sharing it.

Runs 100% in your browser — nothing is uploaded

Patterns cover Bearer tokens, JWTs, emails and IPv4 addresses. Other secrets, IPv6 addresses and custom identifiers may remain. Review the entire result before sharing.

Choose fields and review replacements

JSON field names are matched without case sensitivity at every object depth. Masking a field replaces its entire value, including arrays or nested objects. Text mode applies only the documented patterns and does not interpret JSON field rules.

Keep the original private

Only the redacted result is offered for download. This page does not create a share link or save original content. Read the complete output and remove any unsupported identifiers before attaching it to a ticket.

Frequently asked questions

Will this detect every secret or personal identifier?

No. The built-in patterns cover Bearer tokens, JWTs, email addresses and IPv4 addresses. JSON mode also masks selected field names. Other secrets, IPv6 addresses and application-specific values may remain.

Does JSON redaction change large numbers?

The JSON parser preserves numeric source text, including integers beyond JavaScript’s safe integer range. Redacted JSON is emitted compactly; original whitespace and comments are not preserved.
